Now, a lot of shoppers seeking for the best bargain in Cebu would be very glad to know about Pasko Sa Carbon. Launched on December 8, 2010 by the Cebu City government, this annual affair which occurs during December since 2005 will bring into highlight “the most beautiful store” in the mass-shopping district in Cebu.
Carbon may not have the elegant stores but I can’t wait to find out which establishment brings in that recognition.
In other parts of the city, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce released the first tourism brochure on the same date when Pasko sa Carbon was launched.
Eco-tourism trails are the major highlights of the brochure.
Local guides can lure tourists from foreign or local to the eco-destinations in Cebu using the brochure.
I can’t wait to grab a copy of that brochure or is there an electronic copy of it? I might as well find out.
Away from the city of Cebu but still a city down south of the Cebu island is Naga City. But there is no good news there– tragic even. 14 homes have been devoured by earth, the latest landslide incident in Cebu.
12 families have been affected from the landslide which occurred in barangay Mayana, Naga City.
The Naga landslide affected 12 families, , as reported by Freeman, but according to the latest news from Cebu Daily News, 14 houses were not spared. Okay, another update is needed.
As of the moment though, no deaths are reported. But the calamity did not spare the livelihood of that area. Rocks and fallen trees have brought inconvenience to passing motorists.

Best Cebu Blogs Awards 2010 is coming. It will be the first offline awarding ceremony that recognizes the best blogs in the island of Cebu. On December 12, 2010, Ten best blogs will be announced along with their corresponding prizes.
The event is a private one and only those who have received the invitation electronically will be privileged to witness the awards night.
Many asked me what the event would be like. Though I am one of the organizers, it is also my task to prolong the thrill– so no spoilers until the day and night of the awarding ceremony. But one thing though, the Top Blog to emerge will bring home prizes amounting to more than 20 thousand in pesos. ( No cash prize though)
Yes, Best Cebu Blogs 2010 will happen from the afternoon, twilight until night.
And, just recently, I have received an invite in my Facebook to attend the Philippine Blog Awards. The odd thing here is that it will happen on the same day as Best Cebu Blogs.
December is really a busy month for events and parties.
I can’t wait for more events and parties this December. I’m thankful my metabolism is still working well or I would have been fat by now.
