Bo's Coffee Club's New Flavors: Sweet, Tasty and Superb!

I’ve had the privilege to shake hands with the owner of the most popular home-grown coffee shop in Cebu and in the Philippines. The opportunity was presented when I replaced a friend blogger to meet the marketing staffs of Bo’s Coffee last December 5, 2010.

With other bloggers, I was served with tasty treats to savor.

Bo’s Coffee Club’s Cebu Bloggers Gathering provided me and other bloggers sample treats for release on 2011 for Cebu patrons.

The marketing manager of Bo’s Coffe Club engaged each of us with a  slice of Super Moist Chocolate occupying a big plate encompassed with chocolate sauce done in a plaid lay-out.

My affair with the dark brown goodie derived from the cacao tree has started from my toddler years. I just don’t like chocolates. I earnestly desire it as if it is my only companion I want. No, I am not a loner but when I feel my tongue to have salty and tangy taste, I crave for the sweetness of a dark chocolate. I just hope that my craving won’t end up in a hopeless intramacular ingestion of insulin.

But chocolate was not the only main attraction on that sample treat. Another plate was delivered to display a bite-sized brownie-like specialty which the digital marketing officer called  “food for the Gods”.

I’ve only known ambrosia to have that distinction as described in the ancient mythology of the Greeks and Romans. But the midget of a dessert tastes superb, nonetheless. It has the quality of sweetness in the range of 6-7, if 10 is considered the uberly sweetest.

A bring-home plastic-wrapped cookie known as Cookie for the Gods was not forgotten. I took it home to sample something for my mother.

From the  mere three desserts served, I would say the Super Moist Chocolate has possessed unique quality despite its commonality in the dessert world. For one thing, it has a texture different from other chocolate cakes I’ve hovered. It’s dark chocolatey and gooey with thickness closer to that of a cheesecake.

Nevertheless, the Super Moist Chocolate Cake ranks well in my chocolate “gage-goodness”. I would rate at 8 closer to perfect 10.

The great accompaniment to the desserts I’ve sample-tasted has been Bo’s Coffee’s creamy hot chocolate. It is the only beverage which I have the great fondness for a sip.

The dessert-centric occasion was simply a success. Thanks to the Marketing Manager and the Digital Marketing officer  of Bo’s Coffee Club who were cordial and accommodating to the bloggers.

Bo’s Coffee Club in 2011

Bo’s Coffee Club claims to have its own commissary to make and bake heavenly confectioneries, pastries and calorie-inducing dessert specialties.

The treats  have already been offered in Manila but they are yet for public consumption in Cebu. It would be something to anticipate especially for Cebuanos who have a tasty delight for chocolates and sweet goodies. Add the beverages which Bo’s Coffee Club have been successfully offering, the coffee shop can then become a haven for coffee aficionados and  dessert lovers.
