Despite the recent disaster that struck their homes, the fire victims of Duljo Fatima still managed to put on genuine smiles and was still able to cheer with the organizers and the band members of Bethany.
December 19, 2010, I and a group of fellow CBSi bloggers and the team of TechJobs.ph, went to the gym of Duljo Fatima to provide gifts to a number of fire victims. It was a riot, not in a bad way, but something in the way they set aside their inhibitions from the recent disaster brought satisfaction on the efforts of the organizers.
But we were not there to be satisfied. We organized the outreach program to extend help in spite of constraints and some problems along the way.
CBSi managed to make the outreach program successful. Perhaps, it was in the way the fire victims accepted our simple gift-giving making it enough for me to conclude that the objective was attained.
It was not really a first for me to do the outreach activity. But it is with CBSi.
That experience would really be memorable, something to treasure with as evident on the photos taken.
Christmas is really for everyone. Somehow, it is when we provide gifts with sincere heart that makes the holiday more relevant and more joyous than ever.
