Watching fireworks a night before the Sinulog 2011 has never been that fantastic than ever before. Despite the drizzle and the threatening downpour of celestial water, people still managed to take pictures, to record the happenings and the colorful lights of rocketing gunpowder into their high mega-pixel cameras while other audiences never failed to express their “Ohhss and “Ahhhsss” and the simple “wows” as recognition for the awesome display of technically-organized, colorful flying firecrackers.
Pyrofest 2011 is a fireworks competition sponsored by SM. It is the 3rd year that this competition was held in the ground of SM City Cebu. Started in 2009, the fireworks event is also called Sinulog Fireworks Competition and is participated by different fireworks maker/marketing firms and representative places in the country.
This 2011, the fireworks contest was participated by:
1. Iloilo
2. St. Michael Fireworks Manufacturing, Sta. Maria, Bulacan (3rd Place)
3. Sky Glitters (2nd Place)
4. Sto Niño, Bulacan
5. DSS Fireworks, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental (1st Place)
6. Oroquieta City
7. Negros
8. Bucae, Bulacan
The last musical firework was presented by Pyroworks of Cebu. It was sort of a display of Cebu’s Pride and it was simply marvelous.
The recent Pyrofest 2011 drew a lot of crowd. Sponsored by SM City Cebu, the Sinulog Fireworks Competition was covered by various media outlets but the most recognized were the members of Cebu Bloggers Society, Bjorn Cebuano included.
The fireworks event conveyed spectacular display of colorful fire-ignited gunpowders in the sky. The Pyrotechnic competition was in line to the week-long Sinulog fiesta celebration in Cebu.

3. St. Michael Fireworks Manufacturing, Sta. Maria, Bulacan
The Fireworks competition is one of the awesome and the most anticipated Sinulog events in the country.
