2011 is the continuation of 2010 for the real estate industry in Cebu. Economists have affirmative forecasts on the industry of tangible dwelling structures– for personal and family purpose and as an investment option.
Cebu is in the hotspot for real estate investment and expansion. One of the indicators is that there are many guys on Facebook who added me in their friends lists. And these guys are real estate agents and/or brokers. My aunt is now venturing into real estate upon learning of this big money-making potential. The good news now is that realtors and agents won’t have to go to painstaking field work to get clients and asset buyers. Successful and millionnaire-in-the-making realtors only have to spend 4-6 hours online to get leads and buyers.
The cost only for seeking leads would be less than the traditionally known method. But the conversion rate is higher, perhaps, compared to what is being done traditionally.
There is great leverage in using the Internet. The sad thing though is that a few people only know of this potential. I can still see agents giving brochures in malls. Others have been waiting for walk-ins interested in getting info before handing over their money. And sometimes, times are wasted because some of the prospects don’t really end up as buying clients.
Is it high time for real estate agents and would-be agents to use the Internet for leverage?
I have stumbled many agents with similar testimonials. My aunt who is on her way for real estate license has also mentioned about a new fact from a successful realtor in Cebu. Spending 6 hours a day ONLINE is just a ticket for this successful real estate agent to average over a million pesos a day in sales. Thinking about that, it is no wonder many agents have the interest in tapping with developers to help them gain online reputation for their business and their offers.
But these agents are just, perhaps, a few out from the total population of individuals in the real estate industry. And they are now on their way to success while a few percentage are now experiencing the great green pasture.
It is still surprising for many that the green pasture can be found on the screen. I am talking metaphorically with the digital sites. It is a common knowledge now that web sites are digital real states. Similarly, they are now the venues for information to where the “real” estate lies.
Disclaimer: The proof I can provide is based on what I’ve learned from those who have really made money online selling properties in Cebu.

I agree… In fact, more and more real estate brokers are promoting their business online before doing the actual meetups and seminars, or anything that needs to be done in person. Leveraging the internet in promoting business like this is somehow similar to just selling purely digital products. Yet it provides a better ROI.
I think it’s high time also for bloggers to tap this niche.
Definitely!
The internet is great source of leverage for any business. It boils down to two things. Networking and Marketing. Social media sites and forums give you the opportunity to network with more people faster than you ever could before. Having a website or blog gives you the opportunity to market your service to people all around the world.
My rank suddenly drop becuase of those blogger who has good seo skills.
