Bloggers are no different from any individual. They may be geeks in some way for they find solace interacting with other people using the digital technologies, but they have different personalities that could beat the stereotypes.
They may rant and express themselves on their blogs, but other bloggers are entrepreneurs, marketers, journalists, promoters and writers.
There may be Big Bad Bloggers, who may be known for conveying controversial notes, reviews and somewhat entertaining yet obviously provoking posts. But who will believe them when there are more credible bloggers who build brands and who take care of their names, their blogging styles and their reputation to help other people and bloggers who need truth in information dissemination.
Bloggers are diverse and that should be realized by other communities.
The diversities of bloggers can be found in a community. But they are bound as one when they share a common objective, purpose and goal.
The members of Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. may have different personalities and have been blogging different niches, but they come as one when there is the force that leads them to a common road.
I still remember the day when I was invited for an orientation to become a member of the organization. It was awkward time for me when I attended the orientation inducting my membership to Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. There were questions raised and some remained to be unanswered for they were not meant to be divulged at that time.
I wanted to get to know more bloggers as I can– for establishing connections, benchmarking and, no less, for gaining new friendships. I did gain new friends and that is the thing I am thankful of when I became a member of a blogging society with a brand and reputable disctinction as the most organized blogging community in the Philippines.
Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. is gearing for a new direction but it is still improving its vision-mission: to promote and uphold Cebu through blogging.
The 3rd founding anniversary of CBSi marks another attainment for the blogging community in Cebu. It is a feat that that deserves remarks, praise and jubilation.
Though Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. was founded on the Love Day, its founding anniversary celebration was set on a Saturday, February 19, 2011.
