I have just recently created a Blogger blog for Social Media Cebu. Being a founder of Bjorn iMedia, I also take social media mangement job and responsibility. It is also my job for two companies in which I partner as an affiliate.
In full honesty, I proudly say that I am a social media evangelist. I want to help Cebu companies take their social media presence to a high notch. The thing is that the companies I am currently affiliated with are from Manila: one has a branch here in Cebu, while the other is still under negotiation with me in which I will be the exclusive partner for a service in Cebu. Those two companies want me to promote their products using the social media tools.
Now, it is not just me, a blogger, that has recognized the increasing importance of social media. Other bloggers from Cebu are also helping companies take their online presence via social media.
Here is a list of bloggers where Cebu companies can refer to for advice and consultation about social media success.
He is a certified Internet Marketing Expert, Social Media Consultant andContent Marketing Specialist. He is the guru in social media marketing in Cebu with certifications from Inbound Marketing University and Expert Training.
2. Fleire Castro
She is the founder of Third Team Media, a social media company registered in Cebu. She currently partners for Root CON event. With Third Team Media, she provides social media marketing services. She is what I consider a female guru in social media in Cebu.
Fleire is also a momblogger, social entrepreneur and freelancer. Her blog Fleire Castro takes into account her life accounts as a blogger.
3. Novell Tagailo
Novell is social media guru who blogs in eRipplesCebu.com. His field extends to communications media where he is also a DJ for an online radio Blazin100.com. He is a problogger, a full-time one and internet marketer. He is a multi-talented blogger with talents include graphic designing and copywriting. When you seek for social media manager who has an extensive knowledge in copywriting, a field that complements will in social media, Novell is the right guy.
4. Vernon Joseph Go
He is called a social entrepreneur and social media evangelist. A blogger and speaker by profession, he is the founder and managing partner of GeOh Media. He blogs in vernongo.com, where his account as a social media entrepreneur can be found.
She may be an SEO specialist but her job also includes social media promotion. She is the owner of Empress of Drac.com and has been blogging for quite some time. She is an active organizer and a very effective one.
There may be a few bloggers who are also credited as social media managers in Cebu. Perhaps, if I only take myself on the list, then we are just six. But with the increasing relevance of social media as an effective marketing strategy, there may be others that will include social media in their resume.
Now why are they in the list?
I take into account these factors:
1. These bloggers really take seriously their jobs as social media manager/evangelist as part of their resume, portfolio and job positions on their social media profiles.
2. Though not considerably, considering the infancy stage of social media marketing in Cebu. they have success in working for their clients using social media platforms. And take note, most of them have foreign clients who hire them for social media jobs.
3. Perhaps, being in blogging and being a blogger helps them propagate their service online. As what I learn, other bloggers in the US, Europre and other countries are also social media consultants.
When you seek for social media consultants that can help you identify, measure and evaluate social media strategies and techniques for marketing campaigns, then you cannot go wrong workingm with one of the mentioned bloggers and social media managers.
