Note: This is a very late post about the recent HP event I attended with other Cebu Bloggers pips.
Okay, so I went to a bar in Cebu City attending the event sponsored by HP. For one, this event was entertaining. Bit it was a way for HP people in the Philippines to inform the market in PH that HP inks are better than refilled ink cartridges. The “twice the prints” promo brings PH with prizes showered to dealers and users of HP inks. And from the event, I learned the struggle of ink-cartridge makers about the competition they have with refilled ink cartridges.
People often opt for what is less in amount in buying products. So, people won’t really be blamed buying for the less expensive ink cartridges because they have the option. And it’s free market economy by the way. We can’t really say that refilled cartridges are counterfeit unlike pirated products. For one, the cartridge is taken from the original vendor and the ink-refiller is doing what he thinks to bring him the money if he has a gallon of ink that can fill thousands of cartridges.
However, I believe that original inks are the best. I have experienced refilling inks and they were not all totally good.
About the promo…
The first contest held by HP this year was won by a Cebuano, from Guadalupe. The name is withheld for now. this was on Mach 29, 2011.
