Krispy Kreme executives from Manila and the United States flew in to Cebu to launch the opening of the 1st Krispy Kreme outlet in Cebu on October 22, 2011. A day prior to the grand opening of the confectionery outlet. the executives graced the media personalities of Cebu for Krispy Kreme’s media launch inside the outlet.

Krispy Kreme opened its doors to the Cebu public on a Saturday. It’s amazing how the Cebuanos embrace the opening. It’s the first time for me to see a long queue of doughnut lovers and curious buyers, persevering the heat and enduring the leg strains.

Krispy Kreme awarded the first persons in line with a golden ticket. The golden ticket gives privilege to the first line of patrons to take away a dozen of Krispy Kreme doughnuts per week for one year. Aside from the doughnuts, seven cups of coffee can also be brought out or sipped inside the Krispy Kreme outlet for free. Coffee goes along well with doughnuts and so Krispy Kreme brings the double treat to the golden ticket winner.
